Fire evacuation drill in the second half of the year

Fire drill activity review 

"Be prepared for danger when you are in peace, and you will be prepared if you are prepared." Safety is the prerequisite for doing all the work well. In order to thoroughly implement fire safety, on December 14, under the careful organization of the company's safety department, the fire evacuation drill for the second half of the year was successfully held. Nearly 1,300 employees from various departments participated in this exercise, which was designed to enhance the fire safety awareness of all employees and their ability to respond to fires and other emergencies. 

01 Evacuation

At 11 o'clock, with the urgent escape alarm sounding, the drill officially began. All employees should evacuate to the assembly point in an orderly manner according to the pre-evacuation route and assemble in the designated safe area.

02  On-site fire protection knowledge explanation

The correct use of fire extinguishers is an essential skill for life safety and an effective measure for scientifically handling early stage fires. In order to ensure that everyone can master this necessary skill, volunteer firefighters Li Wei and Fan Dajian of the Fire Safety Subcommittee explained in detail the operation methods of fire extinguishers and fire hoses.

03  On-site practice

In order to make the theoretical knowledge more vivid and intuitive, a practical operation session was also arranged this time, and some employees were invited to take turns to perform fire-fighting drills. Many employees on site showed great enthusiasm for participation and came on stage one after another to "show off their skills." During the process, volunteer firefighters carefully observed and patiently corrected each participant's technical movements to ensure that every employee could accurately master the correct fire extinguisher operation steps.

Fire extinguisher

Shake: Before using the fire extinguisher, shake the fire extinguisher up and down to mix the contents of the fire extinguisher evenly.

Second pull: Pull out the safety pin on the fire extinguisher and release the safety device of the fire extinguisher.

Three-spray: Aim the nozzle of the fire extinguisher at the root of the flame, press the handle of the fire extinguisher firmly, and spray the fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the flame. 

Throwing hose to put out fire

One Throw: First, throw one end of the hose to the location where it needs to be connected, making sure the hose is long enough to reach the destination.

Second connection: Quickly connect the interface of the water hose to the interface of the fire hydrant or another section of water hose and the interface of the fire hydrant or another section of water hose to ensure a tight connection.

Three openings: Open the fire hydrant or water source valve to start water supply.

Four grips: After the connection is completed, hold the interface tightly to prevent it from falling off due to water pressure.

Five levels: Make sure the water belt is laid straight to avoid obstruction of the water flow due to folding or bending.

Six-shot: If you are using a hose with a nozzle, adjust the direction and angle of the nozzle and aim it at the fire source. 

Fire safety drill summary

Safety is no small matter, take precautions before things happen. Every fire safety drill is designed to enable everyone to attach great importance to and master the fire emergency handling process in terms of thoughts and actions, minimize fire accident losses, and ensure the safety of life and property.
